Energising and Strengthening using Small Equipment
In this energising and strengthening Pilates class we will introduce the use of equipment exercises to vary each class. As each of us work at a different pace, the introduction of small equipment can tailor each exercise and lesson to suit your own fitness level and ability. You will be instructed on the proper use of each prop during your exercises whilst focusing on key areas such as alignment, posture, core stability, and spinal movements.
This class is suitable for beginners, students who may have some previous experience and those who are looking to take their ability to the next level.
What you’ll learn:
- Learn how to incorporate equipment into your lessons in a safe way
- Identify problem areas and combat any issues with the use of Pilates
- Ways to ensure your Pilates practice and each lesson is varied and fun
What you’ll need:
Our Pilates Instructors would advise you to wear comfortable clothing, have a mat or a towel to lie on and space to stretch out.
Light hand weights 0.5kg/1kg (or bottled water)
Soft pilates ball
Spiky ball
Medium stretch band
Half or full foam roller 90cm long (or a rolled up bath towel)

Mandy Parr is an experienced Body Control Pilates instructor and a firm believer in incorporating Pilates into your daily routine so it becomes your way of life! She’s been teaching Pilates since 2003, and is trained in Intermediate and Advanced Matwork.
Joining our live classes
Our ‘live’ classes will take place via Zoom. We’d recommend using a laptop or desktop if possible to make it easier for you to take part. Upon booking your class, you will receive an email confirmation with full details of how to join and your link to the zoom class.
