Photograph your own still life
Join us and we’ll photograph a still life together. All you need are a few everyday objects, check around the house- a bowl of fruit, a vase of flowers, a photograph. During our Introduction to Still Life Photography workshop, your tutor will show you how to set up your subject (you’ll be inspired by the great masters). From the initial idea, how to select your props, through to taking the photo and lighting your mini-set with a simple torch, plus advice on post-production and ideas on getting your photo printed and framed!
The workshop is designed as an introduction to still life and for photographers of any level.
What you’ll learn:
- How to set up your subject and select props
- Top tips on lighting
- What to do post production including printing and framing
What you’ll need:
Our Photography Tutors would advise you to come along to our Introduction to Still Life Photography workshop with a digital camera with manual settings like a DSLR or hybrid or good quality compact camera. The camera should have the possibility of taking exposures up to 30 seconds long with a standard zoom or fixed focal length lens. A tripod would be handy.
