New Watercolour Painting Workshop live from Flavours Studio in Edinburgh

This beginners watercolour painting class will be run live from Flavours very own art studio and office in Edinburgh. This is the perfect workshop for you to come and learn to paint or draw. Our tutor will do a live demonstration using watercolour and a new subject matter each week for you to follow along. He will talk you through the basics from watercolour paint and paper, giving you the tools to get started and take up this new hobby. This beginners watercolour painting class is suitable for complete beginners to Art enthusiasts.

How to get started in watercolour painting and what tools you need
Inspired techniques to create your own watercolour painting
Opportunity to share your work and virtually socialise with other students

What you’ll need:

A desire to paint and maybe some paper and paint if you want to paint alongside the Tutors. You can just watch and take notes to inspire you later, the choice is yours.

Your Tutors

Douglas Matthews Douglas is a graduate of Glasgow School of Art (Drawing & Painting) and has been teaching art to adults and secondary school pupils both in the UK and the Middle East since he graduated. For 16 years he was the water colour tutor at the Holyrood Art Club in Edinburgh and has run private painting groups at his home since his return to Scotland in 2000.

Joining our live classes

Our ‘live’ classes will take place via Zoom. We’d recommend using a laptop or desktop if possible to make it easier for you to take part. Upon booking your class, you will receive an email confirmation with full details of how to join and your link to the zoom class.
