Learn to paint with confidence and structure
Over the course of the 6 week beginners painting class, you will be painting alongside your tutor with a new project each week allowing you to develop your own style. The topics you will be working on each week are as follows:
Week 1- Introduction to watercolour paints
Week 2- learn about colours and mixing colours
Week 3- Introductory landscape
Week 4- Dealing with skies
Week 5- Harbour scene
Week 6- Street scene with figures
Impress your friends and family with your very own exhibition at the end the course. This 6 week beginners painting class is suitable for those who have always wanted to paint and those beginners who want to develop their artistic flair.

What you’ll need:
Our Tutors suggest that you have paper, paint or whatever medium you prefer and something to lean on (table/board/easel)
Your Tutor
Mark Holden is a professional artist who has exhibited his works in galleries across Scotland. He takes on private art projects commissioned by clients across Europe. Mark works with oils, acrylics and watercolours, with a wide-ranging focus on landscapes, classic cars and skiing.

Our ‘live’ classes will take place via Zoom. We’d recommend using a laptop or desktop if possible to make it easier for you to take part. Upon booking your class, you will receive an email confirmation with full details of how to join and your link to the zoom class.
