Come and join Livia and her mother live from their kitchen in Bologna. In this Mother’s day Italian cooking class on mothering Sunday afternoon they will be showing you how to prepare her traditional Focaccia Genovese followed by her amazing Rotoli di Pollo con Patate and finished off with Ventagli di Ricotta al Forno.
Each recipe is based around what is in season for sustainable cooking. She will start this cooking class by taking you on a journey of Italy with the ingredients for each dish and explaining why and how to cook with them.
Cooking Italian style is as much about the ingredients as it is about the tools and kitchen set up. Livia has cooked in many kitchens across Italy and will share her techniques to allow you to cook with ease.

This Mother’s day Italian cooking class is suitable for novices and enthusiasts to Italian cooking thanks to Livia’s teaching style and classic recipes.
What you’ll need:
If you are planning to cook along with Livia then the following equipment would be useful:
- A wooden board
- A rolling pin
- A pasta cutter and/or a knife
In case you don’t have some of the items listed above, don’t worry, we can find an alternative.
Don’t forget to buy a bottle of Prosecco or wine, to have a ‘virtual Saluti’ together at Midday!

She’s an expert in all kinds of pastas and has mastered the teaching skills required to make it easy to learn! Livia will transport you to the rolling hills of Bologna and Tuscany as she guides you through dishes such as Tortelli di Ortica and Lasagne di Zucchine.
